The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
