The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the morning brightness, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
