The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

When earth is shaken with a mighty shaking 1 And the earth throws out its burdens. 2 And man says, “What has happened to it?” 3 On that Day will she declare her tidings: 4 for your Lord will have commanded her (to do so). 5 On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works. 6 So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 7 and whoso has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
