And We have built the heaven with hands (the Divine Power), and it is We Who give the expanse. 47 And the earth -- We spread it forth; O excellent Smoothers! 48 and We created pairs of all things so that you might reflect. 49 Flee, therefore, to Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him; 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Even so not a Messenger came to those before them but they said, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' 52 Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation. 53 so ignore them, you are not to blame, 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me. 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 Surely, Allah is the Provider, the Possessor of Power, the Mighty. 58 For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! 59 woe, then, to those who are bent on denying the truth, when the Day arrives which they have been promised. 60
