Seest thou one who turns back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
