The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And no trifle. 14 They are devising guile, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
