The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
