Whatever misfortune befalls you is a consequence of your deeds; yet He forgives much. 30 And you cannot escape in the earth, and you shall not have a guardian or a helper besides Allah. 31 And among His signs are the ships sailing on the sea, like hills. 32 If He willeth He causeth the wind to cease so that they keep still on the back thereof; verily therein are signs for every patient, grateful person. 33 Or He could wreck them for what they have done; yet there is much that He pardons. 34 And those who dispute (polytheists, etc. with Our Messenger Muhammad SAW) as regards Our Ayat (proofs, signs, verses, etc. of Islamic Monotheism) may know that there is no place of refuge for them (from Allah's punishment). 35 That which has been given to you is only the wherewithal of the transient life of this world. But that which is with Allah is better and more enduring for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord; 36 who refrain from heinous sins and gross indecencies; who forgive when they are angry; 37 And those who answer the call of their Lord and establish worship, and whose affairs are a matter of counsel, and who spend of what We have bestowed on them, 38 and who, whenever tyranny afflicts them, defend themselves. 39 The retribution of evil is the equal of evil (done); yet those who forgive and rehabilitate will be rewarded by God. Verily He does not like those who do wrong. 40 And whosoever vindicateth himself after wrong done to him; these! against them there is no way of blame. 41 Reproach is only against those who oppress people, and wrongfully spread rebellion in the land; for them is a painful punishment. 42 whoever is patient and forgiving, acts with great courage and resolution. 43
