Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 watching over you 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
