The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 And I ask of you no hire therefor; and my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
