Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
