1/2 Hizb 46
< random >
And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding. 43 (and We said to him): “Take in your hand a bundle of rushes and strike with it, and do not break your oath.” Indeed We found him steadfast. How excellent a servant (of Ours) he was. Indeed he constantly turned (to his Lord). 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub the men of power and knowledge. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 Such is their noble story. The pious ones will certainly have the best place to return. 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ And with them will be virgins of refraining looks and of equal age. 52 'This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning; 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 and other such torments. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will say: our Lord! whosever hath brought this upon us, unto him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. 61 They say, 'How is it with us, that we do not see men here that we counted among the wicked? 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 That most surely is the truth: the contending one with another of the inmates of the fire. 64

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
