See you not those who dispute about the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah? How are they turning away (from the truth, i.e. Islamic Monotheism to the falsehood of polytheism)? 69 Those who denied the Book and what We sent with Our Noble Messengers; so they will soon come to know. – 70 When, with (iron) collars and chains around their necks, they will be dragged 71 into the boiling water, then into the Fire they are poured; 72 It will then be asked of them: 'Where are those whom you associated, 73 side by side with God?" They will answer: "They have forsaken us - or, rather, what we were wont to invoke aforetime did not exist at all!" And they will be told:] "It is thus that God lets the deniers of the truth go astray: 74 That is because you exulted in the land unjustly and because you behaved insolently. 75 “Enter the gates of hell, to remain in it forever”; so what a wretched destination for the haughty! 76 (Muhammad), exercise patience. The promise of God is true. Whether We let you witness the suffering with which they were threatened or because of your death (you do not see them suffering,), We shall still punish them when they return to Us (on the Day of Judgment). 77 Surely We have sent apostles before you, some of whose account We have related to you, and that of some We have not told you. But no apostle was given a miracle unless God dispensed. But when the decree of God comes the sentence is passed with justice; and the lovers of vice and vanity will then come to grief. 78
