Indeed, We created the human. We know the whisperings of his soul, and are closer to him than the jugular vein. 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me. 23 'Cast, you twain, into Gehenna every froward unbeliever, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29
