Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Indeed, the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Last Hour will be the most severe, and the most bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 Surely We have created everything according to a measure. 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 51 And everything they did is in written records. 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
