The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 Created man, 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
