The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
