The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man from an embryo; 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call upon his henchmen! 17 [the while] We shall summon the forces of heavenly chastisement! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
