On the Day each soul will come pleading for itself, and every soul will be repaid according to whatever it has done, and they will not be wronged. 111 And Allah presents an example: a city which was safe and secure, its provision coming to it in abundance from every location, but it denied the favors of Allah. So Allah made it taste the envelopment of hunger and fear for what they had been doing. 112 And verily there had come unto them a messenger from among them, but they had denied him, and so the torment seized them while they were wrong-doers. 113 Eat of the lawful and good things with which Allah has provided you and be thankful for the favors of Allah if it is He you worship. 114 These things alone He has forbidden to you: what is already dead, blood, the flesh of swine, what has been offeredup to other than Allah. But to whoever is forced to eat any of these, neither desiring nor wanting to transgress, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 115 Do not utter the lies your tongues make up: "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," in order to impute lies to God; for they who impute lies to God will not find fulfilment. 116 (In such falsehood) is but a paltry profit; but they will have a most grievous Penalty. 117 We have forbidden the Jews what We have already related to you. We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. 118 And once again: Behold, thy Sustainer [shows mercy] to those who do evil out of ignorance and afterwards repent and live righteously: behold, after such [repentance] thy Sustainer is indeed much forgiving, a dispenser of grace. 119
