Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
