Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
