And indeed Nooh prayed to Us so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
