So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 These people say, 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are they better than the tribe of Tubba (name of a Yemenite tribal chief) and those who lived before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42
