By no means! By the moon, 32 By the receding night 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 in Gardens they will question 40 Of evil-doers: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until death approached us". 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
