Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble, writers 11 They know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
