Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
