The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He hath created man. 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
