Nay, by the Moon 32 By the receding night 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 about the sinners. 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
