Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 Then the shout took hold of them in the early morn. 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 Those who broke the Word of Allah into several parts. (Those who broke the Torah / Bible or changed its text – or those who called the Qur’an a fabrication / poetry.) 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 For all their deeds. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
