Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
