The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By heaven and the night-star! 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
