Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
