Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble, writers 11 who know whatever you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
