The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We will, We shall send down on them out of heaven a sign, so their necks will stay humbled to it. 4 And never comes there unto them a Reminder as a recent revelation from the Most Beneficent (Allah), but they turn away therefrom. 5 For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule. 6 Have they not seen the earth in which We have made gracious plants grow? 7 In this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 8 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 9
