The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 surely your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
