Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
Almighty God's Truth.
