Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Knowing that they will be subjected to a torment that breaks the backs. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
