The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking, 1 and earth brings forth her burdens, 2 and man cries out, "What has happened to her?" 3 on that Day will she recount all her tidings, 4 for your Lord will have revealed to it. 5 On that Day mankind will proceed in bands, that they may be shewn their works. 6 Then whosoever hath worked good of an atom's weight shall behold it 7 and he who shall have done an atom's weight of evil, shall behold it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
