And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
