Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 We have sent blessed water down from the sky to grow gardens, harvestable crops 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan,] and the people of Tubba: they all gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon that whereof I had warned [them] came true. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
