Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 As a warning unto men, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 concerning the sinners, 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
