Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 till you reached the grave. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 again, you shall most certainly end up seeing it with absolute certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
