For, behold, it is the God-conscious [alone] whom gardens of bliss await with their Sustainer: 34 Shall We then treat the People of Faith like the People of Sin? 35 What has happened to you? How do you judge? 36 Or have you a book wherein you read, 37 that tells you to do whatever you want? 38 Or do you have Our solemn oaths, binding upon Us till the Day of Resurrection, that you shall have whatever you yourselves decide? 39 Ask them which of them, for that [claim], is responsible. 40 Or have they other gods? Then let them bring their other gods if they are truthful 41 On the Day when the leg shall be bared, and they are ordered to prostrate themselves, they will be unable. 42 With lowered eyes, disgrace overcoming them; and indeed they used to be called to prostrate themselves whilst they were healthy. 43 Let Me alone with him who belieth this discourse; step by step We lead them on when they perceive not. 44 I shall give them respite, however, My plan is so strong that they will never be able to escape from it. 45 Or is it that you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them, so they are burdened with the penalty? 46 Or do they have knowledge of the unknown which they copy down? 47 Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed. 48 Had the favor of his Lord not come upon him, he would have been blamed, cast upon the shore. 49 but [as it was,] his Sustainer had elected him and placed him among the righteous. 50 But the unbelievers would like to stare you out of balance when they hear the warning, and say: "Surely he is possessed;" 51 But it is not except a reminder to the worlds. 52
