Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 concerning the sinners, 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
