The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Where then will you go? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
