Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
