Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 Make my task easy 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 And share my task, 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 And remember you a great deal. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 “And speak to him courteously, that perhaps he may ponder or have some fear.” 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
