Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records. 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it solid mountains and We brought forth from it all kinds of delightful plants, 7 A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
