And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?" 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. But [since] then my Sustainer has endowed me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and has made me one of [His] message-bearers. 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 Said Pharaoh: "And what [and who] is that 'Sustainer of all the worlds'?" 23 Moses said, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if only you would be convinced." 24 'Do you not hear' said he (Pharaoh) to those around him. 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! 27 (Moses) said: "Lord of the East and the West, and all between! if ye only had sense!" 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 He (Pharaoh) replied: 'Show us your sign, if you are of the truthful' 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
