and We saved the Children of Israel from a humiliating punishment 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 and indeed, We chose them knowingly above all other people, 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 Yet these say: 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
